The island of Fiji, known for its incredible beaches, water and views, is a whole-year destination. Yet, there are some differencies. It depends on whether you're a surfer or your visit is a simple vacation. Divers don't have to worry because Fiji is a year-round destination for those who are going to dive.
According to the experts the best time to visit Fiji is the time from April until the beginning of September. Then you will experience warm weather as this is the dry winter season. The average temperatures are 28°C (83°F) and the weather is dry and sunny.
If you're not a person who can stand the island heat and the heavy showers you have to avoid the wet summer season from November to April which characterizes with temperatures about 30°C (86°F) and brief but heavy showers.
Rain can be expected any time of the year. Suva, located on the South coast, experiences much more rainfall than Nadi, which is located on the west coast of Viti Levu. Generally, the smaller islands in Fiji receive less rainfall than the main Island.
High season in Fiji:
The high season is usually from April until the end of September. During this time it would be best if you book a hotel room and airline seats in advance. However, there is no great price fluctuation of resorts and hotels in the area through the year.
